About Made Mighty Publishing

Made Mighty Publishing is an independent publishing house dedicated to giving disability stories, lived experiences, and meaningful resources a place on the page.

Made Mighty began with two small books and a very specific purpose.

Founder Amanda Dickinson, PhD, first entered the publishing world by creating two books about the NICU experience. The books became part of NICU care packages distributed through Mighty Miracles Foundation, the nonprofit she founded to support families of children with disabilities and medical complexities. What began as a way to place encouragement and connection directly into the hands of NICU families became the foundation for something bigger.

As Made Mighty grew, so did its vision.

Today, Made Mighty Publishing is developing into a niche publishing house committed to books that authentically represent disability and the people and families whose lives are shaped by it. Its growing catalog includes Kaleb’s World, a children’s book inspired by Amanda’s son Kaleb, as well as memoir, family resources, and other works that make room for stories too often missing from bookshelves.

We believe disability belongs in books—not only in stories about diagnosis or overcoming obstacles, but in stories about childhood, family, faith, friendship, humor, adventure, grief, joy, ordinary days, complicated days, and full lives.

Made Mighty Publishing exists to help create a place for those stories and the voices behind them.

Because every story deserves the opportunity to be told—and some stories remind us just how mighty a life can be.
